We are undergoing enormous change at this point in history. We are heading for 2012.
I experienced a spiritual-healing transformation 6 years ago which initiated an unexpected and huge turning point in my life. I didn’t know what to do at the time and I certainly did not know what was happening to me initially.
I experienced a surge of turbulent and complex emotions triggered by everyday events and I did not know how to deal with the level of emotional intensity in me on a daily basis. I did not understand what was happening to me. I felt like a cauldron of brew about to overflow or explode! And quite a few times I did explode!
The energies around currently are not dissimilar to what I experienced then. When it is time to change there is little you can do about it. You cannot turn backwards, wind the clock back or run away from yourself. You can never truly do that because a part of you wants you to understand yourself better and experience the benefits of facing it all head-on and dealing with what is in front of you.
Many people now are experiencing these escalating energies in a variety of ways. Some suffer physically and have severe bodily problems, be it physical illness, a sudden disability emerging, an escalating problem, an operation, a need for an investigation or a sudden accident, physical pain or discomfort. Or perhaps you are caring for someone who is suffering in this way. However difficult the physical problem, for many it may be less intense and frightening than feeling the depth of emotional pain that is likely to be there underneath the physical pain. For others it is easier to feel the emotional pain than experiencing physical discomfort. Everyone will experience whatever it is they can cope with and what they have chosen on a soul level.
Some may feel their emotions more strongly. There may be despair and frustration with a life situation and a desperate need to make changes. It could be to do with a living or work situation or concerning a relationship breakdown. It could be just an ongoing feeling that won’t go away. If this is you, have a look inside yourself and see where you feel dissatisfied in your life.
- What feels wrong, missing, frustrating, unfair or unsatisfactory?
- What gives you real joy?
- How can you bring more of that into your life?
- If money and practicalities were not an issue what would you do, be, have? Write long lists, no matter how far-out or unrealistic it all may seem.
If you can make time and space for this (and really everyone can find a few minutes a day for inner reflection) – meditate, pray or do something creative to question yourself and really see what it is you wish to do or be in life.
Where lies your passion? What would be your perfect day?
We are so conditioned into thinking about what we have to do, and what we need to do to earn money and pay the bills that we forget sometimes that we are all blossoming flowers that need tending to on a regular basis. We need light, air and water metaphorically. What are the ingredients you need to help you thrive and grow as your true self?
- Do you need to get out more for walks, fresh air and time spent in nature?
- Do you yearn to paint, write, draw, sculpture, make music, dance, act, sing or perform?
- Do you wish to meet more like minded souls, make new friends?
- Do you want to go on some adventure and take time out?
- Do you have a plan in mind, something you have always wanted to do, create?
It is true that life brings us commitments and responsibilities that we can’t all escape from easily and I am not suggesting you do!
If you would love to go off on an adventure, spend time in a retreat, breakaway from the family for a while, be alone, hibernate, write the book, paint the picture, create the sculpture if even for an afternoon, then find the possibilities in whatever tiny way that may be!
Invest time in yourself and find out what it is you love to do when the opportunity is given to you.
When the children or the cat are asleep, write a page in a journal about how you feel, or write for 10 or just 3 minutes. In fact, put an egg timer on and just write without thinking for the duration of the timer! Or write a whole page of A4 without thinking about spelling or punctuation and without logical thought. Write whatever words splurge out on the page – you don’t have to show it to anyone and you can maybe work out the meaning of it all later. For now, just splurge out how you feel. You may be surprised at what the pen scribes from the core of your inner self!
Or, turn off the TV. Instead of watching a programme go and write, draw, paint, play guitar, dance or whatever you would like to do instead. See how the energy moves you. Watch your thoughts, ideas and feelings as you creatively express yourself. Take time to indulge in your inner self and see where you are. TV can be a great time waster and distracting device. I am not saying that there aren’t programmes that are informative and interesting but if you are not careful the TV will dictate how you spend your time and energy. It will take you away from your true self.
Scribble, paint, doodle, scribe, move, breathe, meditate, chant, walk, sing…
Do whatever comes naturally to you. Find out what your inner voice is saying. Listen to your guardian angels. Hear and move with your true feelings.
- Walk around the block for 15-20 minutes letting your mind and feet amble
- Feel the bark of a tree
- Listen to the bird song
- Watch the pictures in the clouds for a few minutes
- Let a sound come out of your throat spontaneously
- Bang a drum or if you don’t have one try a wooden spoon and saucepan
- Look at Sanskrit chants on Youtube and chant along
- Feel the petals of a flower
- Smell the Earth
- Dive into the sea
- Do something extremely simple and manageable for you that makes you feel good whatever that is. Think about it now. What makes you feel better, even for an instant? Is it ‘listening to a song’, ‘writing a poem’, ‘hearing a bird’, ‘playing with the cat’, ‘blowing in the air’, ‘wearing a colourful scarf’, ‘saying out loud that you’ve had enough and need something to change!’?
Make sure this thing is a healthy thing however! Please don’t include alcohol, drugs, sugar, coffee, TV or cream cakes! (or anything similar).
Add many of your own healthy ideas to this list…
We are all preparing for 2012 – what exactly is happening?
This year we need to let go of whatever is no longer serving us in our lives. We need to look inwards and discover more about who we really are and what our hearts really wish for in life. We need to start letting go of past emotions, old hurts, negative patterns and so on to make way for the new in 2012.
If you don’t know how to do this, where to begin or what it means try finding a suitable healer or therapist of some kind who can help you. There are lots of different kinds of therapies around. It is true that some are very expensive but look around and see if there is a LETS scheme in your area where you can exchange skills for free or something similar such as www.streetbank.com.
See www.ghaen.net for more spiritual and healing information and for an e-book you can read on Connecting Heaven with Earth. This book is about the interconnectedness of all living beings.
2012 will be about new beginnings for many of us, opportunities and ways of moving forwards as never before. We need to wait until the latter part of the year to see the really big changes occur. We are all likely to be surprised at what is about to happen on this Earth, however prepared we may think we are for these changes.
We are evolving into a new human race, existing at a higher vibrational level as never before. The Earth is moving fast into a new direction and so too are we.
When our mother, the Earth, spins and turns in her heightened energy it affects every single one of us. We are being thrust forwards into a new consciousness. We are carried forward in a whirlwind of change and this will not always be comfortable. Sometimes it will be difficult. The outcomes though will be great and highly expansive. We just have to wait for the changes to occur, to be prepared and to express ourselves in the highest way possible being who we really are as individuals connected to the whole. Our role is important. Everyone’s role is important.
There is no time to be stuck in jobs and situations that we have outgrown like an old coat. We need to take off our old skins and prepare to put on our brand new garments. Whatever we do affects the whole. We can contribute to affecting the way the world and humanity evolves to a far better place. When you take one step forwards you will be encouraging everyone around you to do the same.
Step out into the new with expectation and anticipation and look forwards to better times ahead once the old has been extinguished. New growth will then occur and we will all breathe a brand new golden breath.
Watch and listen to this beautiful chant for all the world to be happy! And please add comments at the end of this article with any of your own suggestions or questions as I would be very interested in your responses and ideas. Thank-you for reading!
