I, the orange
Stand tall
In my fruit bowl
Orange glow
You
A lemon
Are forlorn
Long in the face
Not wanting what
I have to offer
Not understanding
My presence
Or feeling my colour
You look for bitterness
In everything
When that is who you are
And me, I do not
Exist in your
World
I cry tears of joy
And lament
Yet I cannot be seen
Just smelt from a distance
I am bright orange
An orange
Yet you do not
See me
I will have to
Light up
My face
With fairy lights
Antlers
Stars
And fairy faces
Then make a sound
So loud
You will hear me
When I am far away
You will see
I am no longer
Invisible
To your eyes
I am a spectacle
I am glowing
You will honour me
Once
You truly know my orange
Nature
I will sing to your
Heart
Orange
Will ring true
For you too…
